Use the jail contact for custody-service questions. For a booking record or photograph, use the Sheriff’s records and FOIA route. Written Sheriff requests may be hand delivered or mailed to the Sheriff’s address, faxed to 231-533-5803, or emailed to FOIArequest@antrimcountymi.gov with “FOIA” in the subject. Identify the person, booking date or range, and exact record requested. The county says electronic requests are treated as received one business day after transmission, and the Sheriff’s form describes a five-business-day response period with a possible ten-business-day extension.

Choose the route that matches the record or custody stage:

  • For a county mugshot or booking record, follow the request steps on the home page. No public name-search roster or recent-bookings feed was located.
  • For an official warrant check, use the sources on Most Wanted Fugitives.
  • For someone recently arrested or released, begin with the county jail and VINE guidance on the home page.
  • For correction or lawful removal questions involving an existing record, review the documentation path on the home page.
  • For a city police incident record, contact Elk Rapids, Mancelona, or Bellaire police or the appropriate village clerk. A jail custody record still belongs to the Sheriff.
  • For a sentenced person under Michigan supervision, use the Michigan Department of Corrections OTIS offender search.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the official Federal Bureau of Prisons or ICE detainee locator.
